I feel it is very important to cite sources when writing a paper. An author takes the time to study, research and write information that helps a student to learn and be successful. The author must be recognized for all of their hard work.
It is important that when someone reads a paper that we complete as a student, they can know that the information given is reliable and that it can be trusted. If we are writing about a medical topic and cite an article a physician has written, our audience will feel they can trust that research. As the physician will have had experience about a topic when dealing with their patients.
Our class will spend a whole term working on a paper; we will spend many hours reading, researching and writing on our chosen topic. Each one of us would like our hard work to be recognized as our own.

Being an online student...
I do like being an online student. The flexibility works great for me! I am able to attend seminars at 10:00 PM while my daughter is sleeping. I am able to work on assignments in the evening also. By taking online classes, I do not have to find childcare for my daughter and do not have to travel to a campus and find the time to do so. I also like that while I am working on assignments I am able to step away when I feel the need to clear my thoughts. I feel that our blog can help our class come together, it is a different way of communicating. As far as the anonymity, the blog can be helpful, especially when our classmates include a picture and we can also see individuality on each other's pages.

Hello Everyone!
It looks like many of you are doing great with the Blog. I am still not too good at this, I need to figure out how to find my way around here. I am going to do my final project on Seasonal Depression. Our class has listed some great topics!
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
